Large Deviations for Quantum Spin Systems

چکیده
We consider high temperature KMS states for quantum spin systems on a lattice. We prove a large deviation principle for the distribution of empirical averages XΛ := 1 |Λ| ∑ i∈Λ Xi, where the Xi’s are copies of a self-adjoint element X (level one large deviations). From the analyticity of the generating function, we obtain the central limit theorem. We generalize to a level two large deviation principle for the distribution of 1 |Λ| ∑ i∈Λ δXi .

Quantum phases and fluctuations in correlated electron systems with frustration and competing interactions are reviewed. In the localized moment case the S=1/2 J1 - J2 - model on a square lattice exhibits a rich phase diagram with magnetic as well as exotic hidden order phases due to the interplay of frustration and quantum fluctuations. Their signature in magnetocaloric quantities and the hig...
متن کاملLarge Deviations in Quantum Spin Chain
We show the full large deviation principle for KMS-states and C∗finitely correlated states on a quantum spin chain. We cover general local observables. Our main tool is Ruelle’s transfer operator method.

Submitted for the MAR10 Meeting of The American Physical Society Quantum Criticality in Coupled Spin-Dimer Systems STEFAN WESSEL, Stuttgart University, SANDRO WENZEL, EPFL Lausanne — We examine the properties of coupled quantum spin-dimers in two dimensions within the quantum critical regime. We find that depending on the dimer arrangement, further terms appear in addition to the quantum non-li...

We study large deviations principles for N random processes on the lattice Z d with finite time horizon [0, β] under a symmetrised measure where all initial and terminal points are uniformly given by a random permutation. That is, given a permutation σ of N elements and a vector (x1, . . . , xN ) of N initial points we let the random processes terminate in the points (xσ(1), . . . , xσ(N)) and ...

We continue the study of the free energy of quantum lattice spin systems where to the local Hamiltonian H an arbitrary mean field term is added, a continuous function of the arithmetic mean of some local observable X . We treat the case where X commutes with its translates but not with H . Our main assumption is that the original system parameterized by an additional field coupled to the observ...
